Pantomimes in or near Basingstoke 2011

Becky asked the question: Are there any christmas pantos on apart from the anvil? I cant seem to find anything. Ive got a 5,3 and 7  month old x

I’ve found the following Panto’s that are in North Hampshire. I’ve also included Panto’s that are in South Hampshire in case you are willing to travel. If you know of any other Panto’s in the area, please don’t hesitate to let me know by adding a comment or emailing me.

Alice in Wonderland: The Panto!

Come and see all of your favourite characters from Wonderland, plus a few additions in this year’s village Panto! Entertainment for all the family!

Peter Pan

Starring Ben-Ryan Davies (Waterloo Road) as Peter Pan, Peter Hillier (Cbeebies’ Boogie Beebies) as Smee and Gary Turner (Emmerdale) who returns to The Anvil as Captain Hook.

7 Miners and a Girl – A Pantomime in Hook

  • Performances at the Elizabeth Hall in Hook
  • Friday 25th & Saturday 26th November, as well as Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December.
  • Curtain-up at 1.45pm for Saturday matinees and 7.45pm for all evening performances.  Doors and licensed bar open at 1.15pm and 7.15 pm respectively.

This year’s pantomime from Hook Players is based on the traditional story of Snow White trying to escape her wicked stepmother the Queen and being taken in by seven miners who all fall in love with her but still expect her to do all of the work around the house!

Will Spit and Polish, be able to save Snow White? Will a handsome prince turn up to fall in love with her? What effect will the mirror have on events? What is the surprise in the final scene?

Arabian Nights

The woods, the food… and that Witch! Join the two Krazy Kat performers as they present this fast moving comedy re-telling  of the classic fairy tale. This is one of Deaf Director Tinca Leahy’s favourite stories, and in this vibrant new  version it’s given the full ‘Krazy Kat’ treatment. With beautiful puppets, equally  beautiful people, plus magical tricks, silly singing, and super Sand-dancing, this  fast-moving production features music from the Humperdinck opera. “A magnificent theatre company, a precious group, both different and amusing, I adored it!”  El Mundo, Spain As with all Krazy Kat Theatre company productions, it is a Sign Language Arts  production featuring fully integrated Sign Language throughout. Suitable for 3– 7 year olds, their families and friends…
